Shinji Releases New Solo Single "Late Regret"
[by Sora Ghim] Koyote’s Shinji will release her solo album ‘Late Regret’ at noon on April 15.
She went solo back in 2008 with ‘The day when sun rises’ and continued in 2010 with two singles and another in 2011, proving her status as a solo female singer.
This new album is rookie composer Cho Hye Young’s debut track and a ballad that goes well with Shinji’s musical color. Jeon Jun Kyu was in charge of arranging this song and is more famous for working on drama OSTs such as ‘Secret Garden’ and ‘My Love From The Star.’ Guitarist Lee Sung Ryeol participated in the song and the chorus was sung by Kim Hyun Ah to complete the ballad.
With a basic 4-beat tempo that is the standard of ballads, Shinji expresses the hurt of breaking up. The lyrics touch hearts and perfectly show the emotions of heartbreak.
Along with Shinji’s appealing voice and musical color, she changes from her usual strong dance genre to a gentle ballad, ironically leaving a stronger impression.
Meanwhile, Shinji will once again prove her ability to transform into a female ballad singer. (photo by KYT Entertainment)
