On October 30, reports revealed that actor Kim Joo Hyuk has passed away after a car accident.
The car accident reportedly took place around 4:30 p.m. KST in the Samseong neighborhood of Seoul. His car got overturned and caught on fire as a result. Kim Joo Hyuk was taken to a hospital but did not survive.
The police said, “A Mercedes-Benz SUV rear-ended a Hyundai Grandeur on the road in front of I-PARK near the neighborhood of Samseong in Gangnam District. Due to the accident, the Mercedes-Benz swerved into the wall of I-PARK apartment and the driver was rescued from the crushed vehicle. The driver was taken to Konkuk Hospital but he unconscious and despite efforts of CPR, he passed away around 6:30 p.m.” The police also confirmed that his car had caught on fire following the accident. An official investigation is underway.
Kim Joo Hyuk was 45 years old being born in 1972. His drama “Argon” recently ended and he was a cast member of “2 Days & 1 Night.”
His agency, Namoo Actors, is currently checking the situation.
