No New Members For “1 Night 2 Days” However A Familiar Face Will Return

We reported recently that Joo Won was going to be leaving KBS’s veteran Sunday variety show, ’1 Night, 2 Days.” We’ve now got some addition reports regarding the show with KBS clarifying that Joo Won will not be replaced and the show will continue on as a party of 6. However there will be some changes to the staffing line up with an exclusive report published by “Star Today” revealing that we will be seeing the return of a similar face to the “1 Night, 2 Day” staffing line up.

In an exclusive report released by news media outlet “Star Today,” it has come to light that the next producer in line to try and revive the flagging show will be none other than Yoo Ho Jin PD. Name alone might not sound familiar but if you’re a fan of the show and have watched “1 Night, 2 Day Season 1” then you will definitely recognize who this is. For a short refresher, Yoo Ho Jin PD was the “rookie PD” during Season 1 of “1 Night, 2 Day” and is widely known as the PD that got fooled by Kang Ho Dong and Kim C during a hidden camera segment.
A worker from the KBS Variety Show division explains that “The KBS Variety Show Division saw a range of sweeping changes coinciding with the Autumn program reorganizations. A part of those changes appears to be a change in the Main PD for “1 Night, 2 Days.” They continued to explain that “Yoo Ho Jin PD, who became famous for being extremely fooled in a hidden camera corner 6 years organised by Kang Ho Dong, Kim C and the original members, is currently the PD that is being mentioned as being the most likely to take the Main PD job (For the show).”
They also explained that “Along with Joo Won leaving the show and the show reaching a turning point, if Yoo PD is confirmed to be joining the show then it does appear like he will inject some fresh life into the show.” The worker however notes that “There was a lot of discussions regarding a change to the production team for “1 Night, 2 Days” as part of the Autumn Program Organizations. Yoo Ho Jin PD is pretty much confirmed to be joining the show but there is still detailed discussions remaining.”
He also praised Yoo Ho Jin PD saying that “whether it’s his exception abilities since joining the company or his personality, Yoo Ho Jin PD is someone that is praised by everyone.” He continued on by saying “He is already acquainted with most of the core members and he has the experience so if he is confirmed to be joining the show then we look forward to seeing good results.”
After leaving “1 Night, 2 Day Season 1,” Yoo Ho Jin PD has been responsible for co-producing “Music Bank” before moving on to producing the talk show “Win Win” and “Moonlight Prince.” He is currently the producer for the sports variety show “Our Neighbourhood Sports And Variety Stars” or as KBS World would like us to call it “Cool Kiz On The Block” with the “Z.”

Koyote to Make Comeback with ′Hollywood′ on ′M COUNTDOWN′

Koyote will be making its big return to the stage on July 25 with its new single album Hollywood.

Its new songs will be released this day, and the group will follow the release up with its comeback performance on Mnet′s M COUNTDOWN.

Hollywood is a retro-disco piece, which adds melodies reminiscent of the 1990s with electronics. It starts with a blues-type intro, then runs into a twist with electronic sounds and disco. Orchestra music and synthesizers come together in an impressive mix.

The song was composed in a team effort between Fish In Water, who composed such ballad tracks as Ulala Session′s I′ll Be There and Son Seung Yeon′s I′m Not Crazy, and Lee Yoo Jin, who wrote for ZE:A and the OST of Jang Ok Jung.

Jung Joon Ha lends his voice to the song, singing in his characteristic R&B tone for its intro and ending.

A rep from Koyote′s agency KYT Entertainment said, "Koyote wanted to sing music that could make all generations, from those from the 7080s to those used to modern electronic dance, shake their shoulders."

SISTAR’s Bora Splashes Kim Jong Min’s Back with Cold Water in ‘1 Night 2 Days’

After failing to get in contact with 2NE1’s CL, Kim Jong Min reached out to SISTAR to help wash his back.
On June 23’s broadcast of KBS’ 1 Night 2 Days, Kim Jong Min was left alone on a mission to dress up as Miss Korea, find 2NE1’s CL, and ask her to splash cold water across his back.

Although he headed to the YG Headquarters in Hapjeong, due to scheduling, CL was not available to film for the show.

The mission was then changed to go find SISTAR instead, and due to his contact with his old manager, who is now SISTAR’s current manager, Kim Jong Min succeeded in finding SISTAR in the practice studio.

The SISTAR members were barefaced and appeared shocked to find Kim Jong Min, but participated in the filming without hesitation. Bora become the lucky one to splash water on Kim Jong Min’s back, fulfilling his mission and allowing him to join the other 1 Night 2 Day members.

Kim Jong Min on the Difference Between Kang Ho Dong and Kim Seung Woo

Kim Jong Min gave his take on how Kang Ho Dong, the head of the first season of 1 Night, 2 Days, and Kim Seung Woo, head of the second season of the show, are different.

The singer talked on the October 16 broadcast of KBS2′s Win Win.
When asked which he felt more comfortable around, Kang Ho Dong or Kim Seung Woo, Kim Jong Min smiled shyly and said, "The question is a bit too much." He showed he was treading carefully due to Kang Ho Dong, since "he has to work when he comes out."

He soon answered, "Before my release from my military duties, Kang Ho Dong was like my friend. Later, though, I came to look up to him. A wall suddenly popped up between us, and he became like my teacher."

About Kim Seung Woo, he said, "He′s almost like a friend."

Lee Su Geun asked whether Kim Seung Woo could become like a teacher, and Kim Jong Min joked, "No chance."

Kim Jong Min continued to praise Kim Seung Woo′s leadership on 1 Night, 2 Days, saying, "He gathers everyone in get-togethers after shoots so that we can talk about the shoot, and he sets up chat rooms in phone messengers."

Cha Tae Hyun-Sung Si Kyung and Kim Seung Woo-Kim Jong Min Share a Sweet Kiss?

enews

The guys at KBS’ 1 Night, 2 Days have shown just how close they are.

During the recent October 14 episode, the members paired up and played a game involving chocolate-covered cookie sticks to see which pair could eat a stick, beginning with the opposite ends, as much as possible with a full spread feast made with medicinal herbs on the line.

The final match involved Kim Jong Min-Kim Seung Woo competing against Cha Tae Hyun and Sung Si Kyung as each team was tasked with sharing a cookie stick and leaving only a 1cm-long piece.

The two teams gave their all for the game with the members showing little signs of squeamishness even with only a hairs breadth gap seeming left between each other’s lips.

The Sung Si Kyung- Cha Tae Hyun team showed a bit too much enthusiasm for the game however, as all that was left between the two were cookie crumbles while Kim Jong Min and Kim Seung Woo left behind a perfect 1cm-long piece and earned the special meal as prize.

′The Three Idiots′ Lee Su Geun, Eun Ji Won and Kim Jong Min Armed for Success

source: enews

Korea′s first ever live variety show, tvN′s The Three Idiots, showed off a new type of format for future variety shows.

The show aired its first episode on October 7, and showed how the three members tried to get through the missions thrown their way armed with their wit. Lee Su Geun, the oldest of the three, led the scene with his adlibs, showing off his skill as a TV personality and MC.

In the case there was an accident in this live variety show with no cuts or edits, the producers brought in a dog named after the member involved in the accident as a safety measure.

The show communicated with fans sending in text messages to the show, and held a driver′s license lottery, a game match with an Anypang expert and cooking spree. The members bought a total of 300 fried chickens for those viewers who sent in special messages or support.

The three failed to win over the Anypang expert in the game tournament, cooked pink sausages and kimchi fried rice to fill their stomachs and monitored their competitor, KBS2′s Gag Concert, in the same time slot and celebrated how they had won over the show in keyword search lists on portal sites. These events used the time given the show flawlessly.

Viewers said through live text messages, ′The Three Idiots is so creative′, ′Thank you for making a sad Sunday so enjoyable′ and ′I live alone, but the three are like my family. I′m not lonely anymore.′

The producers said, "Because of the big support, there were so many text messages that we didn′t get to announce the winners of the driver′s license lottery. We′ll check again to announce the winners and choose a few more extra viewers who participated enthusiastically. It was our first broadcast, and took place live at that, so we believe it would′ve been a bit all over the place or boring. Thank you for your support, and we′ll return with a more stable and humorous show for our next episode."

TvN′s The Three Idiots brings in hosts Lee Su Geun, Eun Ji Won and Kim Jong Min to answer live questions from viewers through social networks and text messages.

The Concerns and Anticipations on ′1 Night, 2 Days′ New Guest Special

KBS2′s 1 Night, 2 Days has prepared a non-celebrity guest special. The attempt at a new guest special comes four months since it started up with its second season in March.

The special will bring in Korean residents living overseas to join the members in their summer vacation special series. Seven Korean residents will be brought to Korea to be paired with each
1 Night, 2 Days member and embark on separate trips. The shoot for the episode already took place recently.(This Episode will aired 5 August 2012 )

From the course of the trip to its way of introducing Korea to its guests, the special is expected to closely resemble the foreign worker special 1 Night, 2 Days showcased in its first season. The foreign worker special at the time receieved favorable reviews for mixing together humor with touching moments, pointing toward a new direction variety programs could take in the future.

Following the great success of its previous special, 1 Night, 2 Days 2′s new guest special plants both concern and anticipation in the hearts of its viewers. Most of the concern comes from the fact that 1 Night, 2 Days 2 still hasn′t managed to find its own place yet.

It has, of course, settled down more than it had in its beginnings. All of the members have built their own characters, and they can put together some decent variety-type entertainment with their tangled character relations. The new members, Kim Seung Woo, Cha Tae Hyun, Sung Si Kyung and Ju Won, now mix effortlessly with the old members, Lee Su Geun, Uhm Tae Woong and Kim Jong Min, making the 1 Night, 2 Days-style games and formats fun again.

Cha Tae Hyun, who recently appeared in KBS2′s Win Win, also said, "In the beginning 1 Night, 2 Days got high ratings, but it actually felt like they were simply a continuation from the previous season’s. Now that the ratings have taken a dip and we’re watching as they climb little by little, we’re feeling like it’s really become our own program now, and we’re working hard while trying to support each other." Like he said, the viewers seem to be adapting to the new season after setting aside their complaints about it.

The guest special thus will prove to be a challenge. The pairings will only cause a nice synergy effect when the 1 Night, 2 Days members feel confident about their time with the show. No matter how talented the members are in variety, separating the members with separate guests may only turn out awkward moment after awkward moment if not done properly.

The first season′s first guest special, featuring Park Chan Ho, came a year and four months after the show had first started up. 1 Night, 2 Days had been fighting a losing battle with SBS′ Family Outing, but with the help of Park Chan Ho it had managed to cause a nice synergy effect and stand tall as the strongest Sunday variety show again.

This said, the biggest problem for the second season′s special will prove to be the timing. Many are looking forward to the special, and it may prove to be a positive turning point for the show.

It is obvious the Korean resident special will be touching; the crucial factor is the entertainment. Will 1 Night, 2 Days 2 be able to mix in the right amount of entertainment with the pairings? Viewers will be able to find out when it airs following 1 Night, 2 Days′ first summer special with SISTAR′s Bora and Cool′s Lee Jae Hoon and Kim Sung Soo.

SBS Ghost writer Kim Eun Hee proved to be a clever person when she named her drama characters after her friends and fellow writers’ names, but now she’s taken the wittiness up a notch and included recent star news in the drama.

July 25’s episode of Ghost had So Ji Sub hack into a computer to purposely make an important news article gain attention on portal sites.

As various characters saw the news article rise up on the most searched charts, the titles of the other searched articles caught the eyes of viewers.

On one chart, the number sixth most searched was titled, ‘Park Jun Ha’s Newlywed Home,’ referring to Jung Jun Ha’s new home where the Infinity Challenge members partied at one point.

On the second chart, number three reads, ‘Lee Jong Min Dating.’ On a recent episodes KBS’ One Night Two Days, it was speculated that Kim Jong Min was dating when he mysteriously texted an intimate message to someone during the filming of the show.

Lastly, the title of ‘Ji Hyun Woo’s Tears’ was spotlighted, referring to Ji Hyun Woo, who recently shed tears at his last fan meeting before heading to the army.

The almost unnoticeable details have been caught by hawk-eyed viewers who commented, “The staff spent a good time making this list,” “It’s good to know that it’s somewhat realistic,” and “I hope to find more in the future.”

‘1 Night, 2 Days’ Has Audio Problems in Recent Episode

BS2’s 1 Night, 2 Days experienced some technical difficulties during its broadcast.

On July 22, the first installment of the show’s ‘Summer Vacation special’ aired. In the middle of the episode, however, some scenes played the audio for the members’ voices but not for the sound effects or music, making the cuts seem a bit awkward. The volume was also irregular, making the voices go back and forth between quiet and loud.

The difficulties continued when the day’s guests, SISTAR’s Bora and Cool members Lee Jae Hoon and Kim Sung Soo, came out for a surprise performance.

Some scenes that should’ve had special effects aired mute, confusing viewers. The situation continued for over 10 minutes. Some viewers started posting the problems on portal sites and social networks, and some thought it was a problem caused by their own TVs.

Viewer boards were soon swamped with complaints.

Viewers posted, ‘I was having fun watching, but what happened?’, ‘This is 1 Night, 2 Days’ worst technical problem ever’, ‘I don’t think even live broadcasts will have such problems’, ‘I couldn’t concentrate so I turned the channel’ and ‘Maybe I should start watching Running Man instead’.
