Singer and ‘1Night 2 Days’ cast member Kim Jong-Min is nominated for Daesang Award in KBS Award presentation this year

This year, Kim Jong-Min is nominated for Daesang (Grand Prize) award the highest award in this year’s KBS Award. Kim is considered as an icon in Korean variety show with “1 Night 2 Days” for 9 years.

The news about his nomination is confirmed by Chosun Ilbo. Previously the rumor about his nomination is already circulating, considering he is the icon of the Korean variety show which has appeared in almost all variety shows in Korean television.

Kim, who is well-known with his common name Jong-Min is the most dedicated and the most loyal member of “1Night 2 Days” which was ared as part of “Happy Sunday” program in KBS every Sunday evening. He has been with the show since the beginning of the program in 2007. Jong-Min has experienced ups and downs with the show, including when he had to quit temporarily due to his military service duty in 2008 to 2009.

In order to give a tribute to his nine years dedication, the production team of “1Night 2 Days” made a special theme for the last two episodes of the season 3. The special theme is called “Kim Jong-Min special” which according to  KBS World TV, the episode is special to dedicate for him.

Jong-Min is nicknamed as the “excited fools” in the “1Night 2 Days” and in the special episode, all members took the MENSA test to measure their IQ. Result of the test is hilarious, as Defconn and, Dong-Gu surprisingly had the same score with Jong-Min.

Afterward they arranged an avatar date with a beautiful girl Kim Seo-Yeon who works as an interpreter in KBS Studio. As an avatar date, all members control what Jong-Min must say or do to her. After the date, Jong-Min revealed the truth to her and Seo-Yeon laughed heartily.

In the picture, Shinji has her long straight hair down and she is posing for the camera without any makeup on. Her flawless skin and young looks caught much attention.

Koyote Shin Ji Used To Give Her Managers One to Two Thousand Dollar Allowance?!

Koyote member Shin Ji revealed that she used to give a generous $1,000-2,000 allowance to her managers.

Singer Shin Sung Woo revealed on the March 2nd broadcast of Channel A's "Single Lady" that in his prime he used to give out money to his acquaintance. Shin Ji responded, "I used to spend a lot on my managers. When I used to go to events, I would give them a lot of money."

She continued, "When we went out to drink, the higher ups would say, 'Since she's a woman, wait until she gets home safely,' so the managers would stay out late with me. At the time, I went out often and used to go out to drink. I was thankful and felt a little sorry as well. I gave them so much allowance that there were rumors going around that Shin Ji's managers earned extra money."

Shin Ji also said, "I gave them money when I was sober and money when I was drunk. It wasn't just one or two hundred dollars. I would give them one to two thousand dollars. It was to the point where any time I returned from home was 'the manager's allowance day'." She went on to say, "I think I gave it to them very happily," and expressed that she would give allowances to her managers with a happy heart.

Shin Ji also talked about fellow Koyote member Kim Jong Min. She said, "When Jong Min oppa first came into Koyote, we earned the same amount of money. When Jong Min would tell me about being hard on cash, I was able to easily help him out because I thought, 'I earned this money thanks to you.' In actuality he doesn't have to, since I'm just happy that he's established a great character and been acknowledged for his down to earth character, but he still thinks he has a lot he owes me. I think that's why we were able to last so long together as a group."

On the show, the guests sent out text messages to their friends and asked to borrow $10,000 on the spot. When Shin Ji asked to borrow money from Kim Jong Min, he immediately replied with a text that read, "Give me your account number," proving their strong friendship.

Shinji says not drinking alcohol kept her in shape

Singer and Koyote group member Shinji said at a press conference yesterday that cutting down on her alcohol consumption helped her stay in shape.

Shinji met yesterday with Kim Jong-min and Bbaek Ga, other members of her group, to promote their new album "1999" at a cafe near Hongik University in northwestern Seoul.

Because their new song, whose title is the same as the album, is retro, the members dressed in clothes and fashion styles that were easily seen back in the 1990s, such as floral jackets and glasses with large frames.

The music will be released today.

"I think working out helped me a lot to stay in shape, and in fact, the biggest secret is that I stopped drinking", she said as many reporters asked her secret. "It's been over a year since I had done so".

Shinji said, "I did a healthy diet." She said, "Working out was the biggest factor in my diet. I used to hate working out but I fell in love with it so I don't have to starve to lose weight now."

Shin Ji ‘Retro Matches Me Too Well… I Keep Getting Tackier’

Koyote member Shin Ji spoke about her new album concept, saying "I think I keep getting tackier," and laughed.
On January 21st Koyote held a 17 year debut anniversary mini album release Press Day at Club Jack Be Nimble in Seoul. Shin Ji spoke about their new song "1999" and its concept. She said, "The way things just happen, I keep getting tackier. Maybe it's because I try to express more of a retro feel." She smiled brightly after admitting her fashion style may be heading in the wrong direction.


 said, "More than retro, it just gives off the vibe of someone who lived long time ago" and elicited laughter. Shin Ji retorted, "To be honest this kind of style shouldn't look too good on you. I think as we're getting older these styles are beginning to match us more. It's a trap."

At this press conference, Koyote members were asked where their 'retro' source came from. Shin Ji explained 'When we received our title song '1999,' the composer suggested 'before' (or old times) as a concept. And it was decided that our styling would be like that of old times. After all, we did have our activities in the 90s."
Koyote's newest mini album 1999 has the title song "1999," Why You Too," "Snow Is Falling," "Hold Me," and "Even If this Winter Passes" (tentative translations). The members' retro styling, music video, and dance all give off the aura of the 1990s.
Their title song "1999" was composed and produced by the famous Duble Sidekick. The song has an exciting sound that takes you on a trip down memory lane, which is in harmony with the song lyrics. Even Radio DJ narrator An Hye Kyung's voice is captured on the song, causing the illusion that one is listening to a winter night radio show.
The album will be released on the 22nd.

Koyote (Kim Jong Min, Shin Ji, Bbaek Ga) released their music video for “After Winter” on December 5 on YouTube. The video starts with an amazingly adorable solo by Kal So Won, which automatically sucks you in and puts a grin on your face. K-pop Trio Koyote Join the Holiday Release Trend with 'After Winter'

Since the start of December, so many of our favorite K-Pop stars have been releasing fun tunes for the holidays.
Pop trio Koyote are the latest group to join in on the Christmas fun with the release of their new single and music video for "After Winter."

The co-ed group is made up of veteran singers Kim Jong Min, Shin Ji, and Bbaek Ga and are known for their own brand of catchy dance-pop songs.
Many fans probably remember their fun and quirky "Hollywood" single from earlier this year, but now the three members are back for a charming holiday track.
"After Winter" was released through the official LOEN MUSIC channel on YouTube on December 6 and features child actress Kal So Won.
LOEN describes the new song as "warm and sensible music" and draw attention to Kal So Won's sweet voice in the video's opening. According to the distributors, Gal So Won said of her performance, "I was very nervous, but it was a good experience with Koyote."
She also added, "I hope people love this song since it is a perfect song for winter."

Koyote’s Shinji Reveals Boyfriend Yoo Byung Jae’s Night Habits

Koyote's Shinji revealed details about her basketball player boyfriend on the air.
On August 19, KBS2 aired an episode of "National Talk Show Hello" that featured Koyote members.

The topic of the day was "Husbands that Don't Come Home at Night," in which wives talked about their husbands' night habits. One guest complained, "My husband likes to go night fishing. One time I decided to tag along, but when I couldn't take it anymore, I had to go to sleep alone."


Upon hearing this, Shinji said, "Night fishing, it's really..." then sighed. She continued, "My current boyfriend Yoo Byung Jae likes night fishing as well. So I know how you feel."

Shinji starred as a guest on an episode of MNet's 'Beatles Code 2' which aired on August 5.

She appeared with an extremely thin body that almost made her unrecognizable. MC Tak Jae Hoon remarked, 'One day on TV I'll see that you've put on a few pounds. Koyote "Hollywood" is disco-infused fun for everyone

Koyote is back and they have brought disco with them!

You may not have heard of Koyote before, but they have been a part of the K-Pop scene since the late 90's - and now they are back with an addictive new song.

On July 25, the famed co-ed trio burst back into action with the new single "Hollywood" and a entertaining music video to go along with it.
"Hollywood" incorporates a disco-inspired melody that allows for lead female singer Shin Ji's unique voice to shine. Her parts are offset by playful verses delivered by Kim Jong Min and Bbaek Ga.

The music video is full of life and color, despite being a little on the silly side. It shows the Koyote members dancing together amid the backdrop of a Hollywood set. Throughout the video, the three singers are transformed into various famous movie characters including Marilyn Monroe, Batman, and Ironman.

The opening to the music video also includes a satirical verse performed by comedian Jung Joon Ha.

The high-energy song and its lyrics beg for listeners to get up and dance - with an infectious beat and quirky dance scenes, it is hard not to tap your foot or nod your head along with the tune.

And having been around for quite some time (well over a decade), it seems like the Koyote members just wanted to have a good time with "Hollywood." The song and video are indisputably fun with bits of humor and charm sprinkled in.

Highlights include the dance-off that occurs around the 2:30 mark as well as the dance battle outtake at the end. The song also mixes the electro sound and disco beats with orchestra strings and synthesizers to create an interesting sound that lends well to all the dancing.

According to their agency, KYT Entertainment, "Koyote wanted to sing a song that could make all generations, from those from the 70's and 80's to those used to modern electronic dance, shake their shoulders."

The veteran pop stars will also be returning to the music show stage, holding their first performance of "Hollywood" on the July 25 episode of Mnet's M! Countdown.

A fun-loving summer track, Koyote really hit the nail on the head with "Hollywood" and fans are sure to be glad they are back!
