Koyote’s Shinji talks about how she met her boyfriend

Recently, Koyote member Shinji revealed that she was dating pro basketball player Yoo Byung Jae.
On September 16th, Shinji sat down for an interview with Daily Sports and talked about how she started dating Yoo Byung Jae, the ”Pin-up boy of Basketball”.

She began, “At first I thought of him as just my dongseng, but at some point, I started developing romantic feelings for him“. She couldn’t hide her happiness as she added “I was attracted to his thoughtfulness and attentiveness“.

She continue, “He has a season ahead of him right now. Since we made our relationship public, I’m worried that he might get his feelings hurt by all the attention. We are going to work hard in each of our work fields. Please support us in our relationship.”

- How and when did you two meet?

“We met 6 months ago at a mutual friend’s gathering. We ended up sitting together and met naturally. At first, we had a comfortable noona-dongseng relationship.”

- How did you two start dating?

“We just had a lot of conversation while we were spending time as close friends. Because he was younger than me, I thought of him as being juvenile, but the more we talked, the more I realized how mature and profound he was. It wasn’t like either of us made a move — we shared deep conversations and our romantic feelings for each other naturally developed. It’s been about 3 months since we started feeling like we were dating.”

- What attracted you to Yoo Byung Jae?

“He’s cute and handsome, but more than that, he’s a person with depth. At social gatherings, he would treat everyone warmly and always take care of others. I liked that he was well-mannered.”

- Why did you decide to reveal your relationship?

“Truthfully, I had no intention of revealing it. He actually has a season ahead of him and I was worried that he might get his feelings hurt from all the attention. However, rumors broke out amongst Byung Jae-sshi’s fans recently. I think they caught on after seeing our couple rings. I thought it would be better to reveal our relationship warmly, rather than let the rumors continue.”

- Have you discussed marriage?

“No, not yet. We just now confirmed our feelings for each other and are now in the process of dating happily. If there is good news, I will quickly deliver it.”

- What would you like to say to your fans?

“As much as this is an important time for us, I want to show our fans good sides of us as we work hard in our respective fields. We will strive for a supportive relationship of each other. Please give us your support!”

Koyote's Shinji Admits to Dating Basketball Player Yoo Byung Jae

On September 10, Koyote's Shinji admitted to be dating basketball player Yoo Byung Jae through an update on her mini-homepage.

Shinji wrote, "I'm not sure how to begin this post, but I guess I'm starting my Chuseok break with a dating scandal. To tell you more specifically, it is true that I'm dating him with good feelings. He's a basketball player and is preparing for a new season so I'm very sorry that this news had to break like this. I'm worried that this will affect my promotions with the group.

"We were friends for a while, and when I was going through hardships, he consoled me a lot. After his season ended, we became a lot closer. Although I wasn't able to help him as much as he's helped me, I'm supporting him a lot so that he can achieve good results in his game. 

"I'm a celebrity and he's a sports star so we were considerate of each other's professions while dating. Reports going out like this is kind of surprising, and I'm scared that people might think ill of our relationship. I'm writing this post myself, however, to clear up some information. 

"I'm sorry to (S.E.S. member) Shoo and (her husband, basketball player) Im Hyo Sung. They have nothing to do with us so I'm not sure why they're saying that we were introduced...I'd like to say that we didn't meet through their introduction. Sorry once again. Shoo, I'm sorry... Tell your husband for me TT.

"Lastly, I'm having a lot of fun promoting my album. His season has just started as well. It's an important time for us so we're both going to do our best to support each other. Please watch over us well and give us your support.. I'm actually very nervous, hahaha. ^^
