Cast Members and Production Team Cry during Last Filming of 'Two Days-One Night'
On the episode of KBS 2TV's "Happy Sunday-Two days and One night" that aired on Feb. 26, the last story about races of memory was broadcast, attracting attention from the viewers. Some of the cast members, who were to bid farewell to the program after the episode, expressed their sad feelings and spent a long time talking with each other late into the night. The cameramen turned off their cameras for the talks.
In the morning, the production team made the members get together for a closing ceremony. The departing members walked heavily in sadness. Lee Seung-gi said, "I can't believe it. For the last five years, I did my best during the filming of each episode."
Eun Ji-won fought back his tears, saying wittily, "I am not crying. It just looks like it because it is cold," trying to brighten the atmosphere on the film set.
The remaining members were also feeling sorry. Eom Tae-ung, an older member of the cast, continually wept and wiped his tears. Lee Su-geun said, "We had close relationships to the point we could read each others' minds just by seeing each other's eyes." When Lee Seung-gi shed tears, the production team also felt sadness and cried over their separation.
The Sunday episode ended with the scene of the production team and the cast members hugging each other warmheartedly following the closing, impressing the viewers.

Kang Ho Dong Watched Last Episode of "1 Night 2 Days" in Private
Kang Ho Dong watched the last episode of "1 Night 2 Days" privately. A source commented, "Kang Ho Dong watched the last episode of '1 Night 2 Days' in private. He didn't want to get all emotional in front of his family, so he went somewhere else." The source added that Kang Ho Dong could not help but be gloomy to say goodbye to "1 Night 2 Days Season 1."
Kang Ho Dong watched the end of "1 Night 2 Days" with mixed emotions, sometimes smiling ever so brightly, and in other times, looking rather sullen. The source said, "When they showed clips of '1 Night 2 Days' five year long journey, Kang Ho Dong 'cried in his heart.'" When the members of "1 Night 2 Days" talked about funny incidents from past with flashback scenes, Kang Ho Dong smiled as if he was at the scene, partaking in the conversation. In these flashback scenes, viewers could see MC Mong and Kim C as well.
This source also told that particular scenes like Kang Ho Dong's funny sit ups and Lee Soo Geun's failed attempt at Jegichagi (shuttlecock kicking) put a big smile on Kang Ho Dong's face. Kang Ho Dong told another source after the last episode of "1 Night 2 Days" ended, "Although I wasn't shown in the screen with them, I was there with them in spirit. I'm sorry that I couldn't be there as the 'big brother,' and very grateful to have my '1 Night 2 Days' members and fans who have given me so much love and trust."
The first season of "1 Night 2 Days" officially ended when the last episode aired on February 26 and the second season will start to air on March 4. In the last episode of "1 Night 2 Days" season one, the members looked back at their five years together in tears. Each member expressed that "1 Night 2 Days" have changed their lives and what a leading figure Kang Ho Dong was on and off the show. Viewers and fans also had time to reminisce about Kang Ho Dong and the void he left. One fan commented, "The void of Kang Ho Dong was even more apparent in this very last episode. We all miss him so much."
"1 Night 2 Days" first aired on Auguest 5, 2007 and lasted four years and six months as one of Korea's ultimate favorite weekend variety shows. Lee Seung Gi, Eun Ji Won, and Na Young Suk producer will no longer be with "1 Night 2 Days" and its fans, but Uhm Tae Woong, Lee Soo Guen, and Kim Jong Min will remain to lead the second season of the show. In the second season of "1 Night 2 Days," Cha Tae Hyun, Sung Shi Kyung, Joo Won, and Kim Seung Woo will join the three remaining members.

1N2D's Teary Conclusion
Five years have already passed by since the start of KBS Happy Sunday's hit corner "1 Night 2 Days." On February 19 the last episode aired with Um Tae Woong, Lee Soo Geun, Eun Ji Won, Kim Jong Min, and Lee Seung Gi embarking on their last mission entitled Down Memory Lane.
The episode started off with the members declaring that they would do their best as always and put their all into the last episode. Although they made a cheerful statement to start their episode off, a certain heavy hearted quality of the members could be felt. Throughout the episode there were flashbacks showing how the members first started off when the were first indoctrinated into the show.
The episode ended with a special surprise event for the members prepared by PD Na in an old style movie theatre. They sat watching clips of the past and how the show grew and developed.
Clips of how Lee Seung Gi matured and developed through spending the first half of his twenties on the show was also shown.
Um Tae Woong who joined the show later on was also shown in the clips. Although he started off for being known as Um Jung Hwa's little brother, he soon became known as 1N2D's Um Tae Woong. The clips showed his efforts and natural talent at making others laugh made the theatre erupt in laughter.
It was joked that Kim Jong Min, who recently came back to the show after his service in the military, has only recently gotten back to getting the feel for variety late in the game.
Images of Eun Ji Won's idol image from his first episode of being on the show surprised even the members. Although he broke away from that image by being on the show he grew into a mature adult. He kept his spirit as the "elementary school kid" on the show.
Of course Kang Ho Dong's name did not go unannounced. Subtitles with the words "and then Kang Ho Dong retired" appeared on the screen, adding more tears to the members' already crying faces.
After a countdown, fans in the audience sang the members a song as the five sat and listened with red eyes and speechless faces. Kim Jong Min was most emotional.
PD Na also choked on his words and started to cry when he started to emcee the rest of the surprise event.

Tears are shed at the last taping of "1 Night 2 Days"

The last taping of "1 Night 2 Days" ended with a sea of tears.koreaboo
KBS 2TV "Happy Sunday - 1 Night 2 Days" set out to film their last episode on February 10th and 11th. The taping of the ending scene on the 11th was particularly emotional when the cast members and the crew spoke of how much they were going to miss the show, and the tears began to spill.
A source connected to the show told Newsen, "The filming was completed safely. The cast members and staff created a warm, heartfelt ending full of their memories and reminiscence. Of course, both the members and the staff teared up at the touching ending."
From the outset, "1 Night 2 Days" has said they intended to film the ending scene at Daecheon Beach, but after the location was leaked a meeting on the night of the 10th, they changed the filming location.
The popular show started in August of 2007, but due to Kang Hodong's fatigue and the other members' personal issues, the difficult decision was made to end the series by February of 2012.
The final episodes will be broadcast on February 19th and 26th.
’1N 2D’ Na Young Suk PD wraps up filming in tears
Na Young Suk PD was in tears.
As reported by KBS on February 1th, the last filming of ’1 Night 2 Days’ with the theme ‘Travel Down Memory Lane’ started February 10th in Jungeup, in Jeollanam-do and was done with after 2pm on February 11th.
An insider of ’1 Night 2 Days’ relayed, “Na Young Suk PD and some of the members ended up showing tears” which speaks of the feeling on location.
In the last 5 years there were some changes in the members and issues so the netizens and press alike were highly interested on the ending of ’1 Night 2 Days’ resulting in the production staff having to move the location of the ending last minute with worries of the crowd that might gather.
On February 9th, Lee Seung Gi wrote on his official homepage under the title, ’1 Night~~ 2 Days’, “It’s the last filming of ’1 Night 2 Days’ so how should I describe my emotions.. maybe when you have too many thoughts your mind becomes a blank? My emotions feel empty”.
Lee Seung Gi continued, “’1 Night 2 Days’ 6 years, I think my life shined along with it. I’ve learned so much, I’ve grown so much, and I met so many good people”, and he expressed his gratitude and sense of loss.
’1 Night 2 Days’ has been at the center of much love and attention and even scandals in the last five years and with the ‘Travel Down Memory Lane’ episodes to air on February 19th and 26th will close the curtains.
