Kim Jong Min has become the Myungmoon University killer. (Myungmoon University refers to the elite Korean Universities known for academic excellence and selectivity in admissions, similar to the Ivy League schools in the US.)
On the December 9th episode of KBS 2TV’s ‘1 Night 2 Days‘, Kim Jong Min continued his reign as the ‘Myungmoon University killer’, knocking out even Yoo Hee Yeol, a Seoul National University graduate.
The teams were divided into 2: Team Yoon Sang (Yoon Sang, Yoon Jong Shin, Kim Jong Min, Joo Won, and Lee Soo Geun) and Team Yoo Hee Yeol (Yoo Hee Yeol, Sung Si Kyung, Kim Seung Woo, Uhm Tae Woong, and Cha Tae Hyun).
After the ‘Let’s Do Additions‘ and ‘Buttocks Ssireum‘ games, the third round of games was the ‘Knowledge Quiz‘. Yoo Hee Yeol beat out Yoon Sang and Joo Won and now Kim Jong Min was his next opponent.
Kim Jong Min said confidently, “I’m a Myungmoon University killer. I beat out Yonsei University and Goryeo University graduates.” Previously, Kim Jong Moon had beat out Choi Jae Hyung PD, a Yonsei University graduate, in a game of ‘Five in a Row‘ and Sung Si Kyung, a Goryeo University graduate, in a ‘Knowledge Quiz’.
The members of Yoon Sang’s team rooted for Kim Jong Min saying, “Now
if you beat Seoul University’s Yoo Hee Yeol, you’re catching a big one.”
Yoo Hee Yeol answered the first question on Louis XIV and had Kim
Jong Min in despair. Then Kim Jong Min got playful again after getting
the correct answer on ‘Run Hani’. In the end, Yoo Hee Yeol lost against
Kim Jong Min, when Kim Jong Min correctly answered the question on
Starcraft.
Cha Tae Hyun teased on Yoo Hee Yeol saying, “Hyung, you need to show your graduation certificate” and brought much laughter.

On the September 2nd episode of KBS 2TV’s ’1 Night 2 Days’, Kim Jong Min was shown completely taken aback by Kim Seung Woo as he cornered him.
In the car as they headed to the base camp, Kim Jong Min asked Kim Seung Woo, “Doesn’t sister-in-law (referring to his wife Kim Nam Ju) make you health foods?” but then was taken aback by Kim Seung Woo’s quick comeback. On the August 19th episode KBS ’1 Night 2 Days’, the members split up into two teams, the ‘Married Team’ and the ‘Singles Team’, to go on a trip without any aid from the production team.

Joo Won reveals his ideal type and why he joined ’1 Night 2 Days’
By JJ July 29, 2012
Actor Joo Won opens up why he joined the cast of ’1 Night 2 Days’ and what he looks for in a woman.
The ‘Vacation’ special episode was broadcasted on the July 29th episode of KBS ’1 Night 2 Days’ and on the episode Joo Won revealed some interesting things about him.
Kim Jong Min and Joo Won were waiting for the dinner bokboolbok to start when Kim Jong Min asked Joo Won what convinced him to join ’1 Night 2 Days’.
Joo Won answered, “I was a little envious when I heard Seung Woo hyung was joining. The variety aspect didn’t really matter to me, I was just envious that he was part of the members.”
Kim Jong Min also asked, “Tell me about your ideal type”, to which Joo Won answered, “I like a woman who has concept of things. The very basic things are very important to me. It’s important that she’s good to her elders. I think about that point a lot.” (Although things are changing fast in South Korea, respect to the elders is still an important aspect of the culture. Some people misinterpret “Being good to elders” in Korea as being obedient but that’s not it. Joo Won’s statement pertains more to being polite and respectful in general terms and nothing too specific).
Kim Jong Min continued to ask, “Does ’1 Night 2 Days’ help in your acting?”, but then bokboolbok got started and Joo Won didn’t have a chance to answer Kim Jong Min’s question.

Is Kim Jong Min in a relationship?
1n2d s2 episode 19 20120722
’1 Night 2 Days’ member Kim Jong Min might be in love.
The ‘Jeongdongjin Vacation Special’ has been broadcasted on the July 22nd episode of KBS ’1 Night 2 Days’. The members were prohibited from making left, right, and u-turns and they had to get to their destination within 7 hours. Every 10 minute delay would incur the penalty of one member sleeping outdoors.
As a rule, the members were given a chance to earn a free turn every one hour. Many variables were taken into account; at five-way crossings the members were allowed to head to 10 o’clock or to the 2 o’clock direction, at forked roads 12 o’clock direction, and at T roads the right turn would count as going straight.
The mission required the members to give up their cell phones and Uhm Tae Woong looked very depressed. As it turns out Uhm Tae Woong is addicted to the internet. Kim Jong Min also started to send a text message to someone.
The members got a peek of the text Kim Jong Min was sending and the message read, “They’re seizing my phone so..”, and the members all said, “Kim Jong Min’s in a relationship again after a long break.”
Kim Jong Min explained that he was sending the text to his mother and Lee Soo Geun countered, “Maybe his girlfriend’s name is mommy.” Kim Jong Min then said, “Mother, I love you”, but Kim Seung Woo quickly countered, “You didn’t text like you would to your mother just now. You texted ‘It’s only you’”, exposing Kim Jong Min’s actual text message.

Joo Won sheds tears in less than a minute, proves why he’s a top class actor
By JJ– July 1, 2012
Actor Joo Won showed exactly why people attest to him being one of the best actors today.
Joo Won drew the attention of the viewers on the July 1st episode of KBS ’1 Night 2 Days’ by successfully shedding tears in less than a minute.
For the ‘Sleeping Bokboolbok’ game the members received the mission to cry within 3 minutes and they all agreed that the actors would have an advantage in the game.
It wasn’t without challenge however, the members had played a game of repressing their laughter in the earlier round and they had laughed a lot at the end of the game, making it very difficult to get in the emotional state to cry.
Also making things difficult was Kim Jong Min who screamed profusely to try to cry, but instead of him crying he made everyone burst into laughter. Cha Tae Hyun failed at the mission much thanks to Kim Jong Min as he laughed his lungs out.
Joo Won however got in a different level of concentration and it took him less than a minute to shed tears suprising everyone.
As the only member to succeed in the mission Joo Won explained how he was able to do it, “I got in the emotion of the character I’m playing right now.” Joo Won is currently starring in the KBS drama ‘Bridal Mask’ as the charismatic Lee Kang To. Recently his brother and mother in the drama had passed away tragically, making it ideal for him to get in the emotional state of sadness.

(Pyeongsang = a wooden bed or a flat bench usually placed in the front yard of a Korean home.)

’1N2D’ Joo Won, Lee Soo Geun & Kim Jong Min’s ing-yeo dance off
By Ceridwen– June 17, 2012
’1 Night 2 Days’ members Joo Won, Lee Soo Geun, and Kim Jong Min took on the ing-yeo dance for some entertaining moments for the viewers.
On the June 17th episode of KBS 2TV’s ’1 Night 2 Days’, the members wrapped up their ‘Carefree Trip – Jeollabuk-do’ and got together at the basecamp.
Kim Jong Min returned from his trip to an island by himself, Lee Soo Geun and Joo Won returned from their epicurean trip. The three of them were waiting for the rest of the members at the basecamp and started to watch the ‘ing-yeo’ dance video clips on a phone which is all the rage these days.
Kim Jong Min who is a dance music singer gave it a try first. But it looked funny and Lee Soo Geun stepped up to the plate to give it a go as well for very similar results.
Maknae Joo Won met with the challenge too but he couldn’t escape the embarrassment with the awkward movement. Instead of the ing-yeo dance movements, Joo Won danced what looked like a masked dance (traditional Korean tal-chum) movements bringing laughter to the viewers.
It may be a popular dance but the three members of ’1 Night 2 Days’ turned it into a comic dance.
