In the broadcast on the 16th, the ’1 Night 2 Days’ members visited Geoje, Gyeongsangnam-do, and enjoyed their trip. The second story of the Geoje trip was originally planned to be aired on the 23rd, but the schedule was changed two days before the broadcast.
The specific reason for the schedule change has not been disclosed. Attention is focused on this decision in connection with the recent severe heavy rain that caused significant damage in the Geoje area. In fact, Geoje City has suffered casualties and facility damage due to the heavy rain, and recovery work is underway. Geoje City has decided to cancel several events, including the National Marine Sports Festival, Geoje Island Flower Festival, and Dundeok Grape Hanwoo Festival, to focus on damage recovery and the restoration of citizens’ daily lives.
During the Liberation Day holiday period, the southern region of Gyeongnam was hit by extreme heavy rain, causing about 27 billion won in damage to Geoje City. A total of 1,078 places were damaged, including 132 public facilities such as roads, rivers, and water supply and sewage systems, and 946 private facilities such as houses, stores, and farmland.
